December 7th, 2016
The last German offensive of the First World War and the Second Battle of the Marne is a significant Allied victory. The German aim to win the War with the offensive fails and German forces in fact lose ground. Crown Prince Wilhelm, and other German commanders, believe that the War is now lost. The battle heralds the start of the collapse of the German army. An invasion of Flanders is cancelled and the Germans are put on the defensive.
